Green Meter & Net Metering
Net metering lets the units your roof produces but your house does not use flow back into the grid, cutting your bill instead of going to waste. The paperwork is where most people get stuck, so we handle the whole file — from eligibility check to the day the bidirectional meter is energised.

Green Meter / Net Metering — your questions
Straight answers to the things customers ask us most often.
You generally need a three-phase connection and a sanctioned load at or above your proposed system size, on a commercial or domestic tariff. We check your last bill and confirm before any commitment is made.
Realistically two to eight weeks depending on the DISCO and how complete the file is when it is submitted. A properly prepared file is the single biggest factor in avoiding delay.
Units you export are adjusted against units you import, and any surplus is carried forward and settled per NEPRA regulations. In practice most customers see it as a much smaller bill rather than a cheque.
